As we are heading to Oahu for our 2nd wedding of the year, we’d like to share a sneak peek of Phung and Andrew’s Cabo San Lucas wedding. Stay tuned for more to come soon…

As we just headed back from Cabo, we are now getting ready and packing for our next destination wedding! Woohoo… at least we can put away our passports for this one!
Darren and I will be heading back to Oahu this March to photograph Stella and Jerome’s destination wedding on the North Shore. We currently have 2 spots available for a portrait session – Tuesday, March 5th and Saturday, March 9th. It could be a honeymoon session, a family session, a maternity session, a baby session… but it’s first come first serve, so if you are interested in an Oahu portrait photography session, please send us an email at evonne@umeusstudios.com to inquire. We look forward to hearing from you!
Aloha!

As you are reading this post, Darren and I will be on our way to Phung and Andrew’s Cabo San Lucas destination wedding over this President’s Day weekend! Although it is not my first trip down to Cabo, it will be our first time photographing a wedding in Baja California Sur. I guess we better brush up our limited Spanish! :)
In the meantime, you can all enjoy Phung and Andrew’s engagement session again on our blog HERE, which was also featured on The Lovely Bay.
We hope you all have a wonderful long weekend, and we can’t wait to share this amazing wedding when we return. If you are looking for a Cabo San Lucas wedding photographer, please send us an email to inquire! We would love to hear from you! See you all next week!

We are finally able to share this AMAZING styled shoot with all of you, as we were waiting for Wedluxe to publish it! You can check out their blog post HERE!
Last November, Darren and I were in Philadelphia and New York photographing a few weddings, engagement sessions and family portraits. We also stopped by Toronto to visit my parents, and while we were there we collaborated with a team of talented wedding professionals on a urban chic styled wedding shoot. Alanna Stephen and Dawn Stafrace of eph*ra event design were the mastermind behind this incredible shoot. Special thanks to our photographer friend, Mary Clarke, for reaching out to Alanna and Dawn! It was our pleasure working with such an amazing team, and thank you all for putting this gorgeous shoot together. We couldn’t have done this without all of your efforts and talents! We travel to Toronto often, so if you are looking for a Toronto wedding photographer, please email us… we’d love to chat with you!
From Alanna and Dawn of eph*ra event design:
This styled shoot was decadent and detailed through and through. We styled this creative shoot bringing together some great talent from the GTA and beyond. The Berkeley Field House was the perfect background for this dramatic shoot. The tables were set with pretty vintage plateware in mismatching patterns grounded by a rich gold charger. Modern ghost chairs kept the look airy and crisp. The color palette of white, varying pinks and gold with pops of turquoise was feminine and elegant. Vintage barnboard hand-painted with inspirational messages took the place of a traditional table runner and each table was filled with taper candles and flowers.
From the vintage plates to the charming stationery to the decadent meringues to the bride’s fur stole & bird cage veil, every detail of this shoot was chosen to show how a winter wedding can be warm, layered and luxurious yet fun and fresh. The bride’s hand-tied bouquet had lush pink peonies, carnations, blush and white garden roses and silver bruna finished with a lace and vintage blue fabric wrap. The boutonniere was a simple white rose with silver bruna and was finished with matching vintage fabric. Loads of fluffy white hydrangea, pink peonies, roses, carnations and dusty miller were the centerpieces.
The stationery was a panoramic sized invitation, printed on rustic kraft and accented with raised embossed white trees. A whimsical RSVP complimented the style. Baker’s twine laced with gold was used to bundle the invitation suite, which gave the collection a natural, yet elegant feel. The external envelope was complete with wrap-around address labels. Turquoise accents were used throughout. Corresponding pieces such as menus and table numbers were used to connect the suite together.
The dress, “Mirra” by La Sposa 2013 Collection, was dramatic perfection with its layered skirt and white feather bodice. The sweet table was laden with baked doughnuts rolled in cinnamon sugar, mini carrot cakes topped with shaved white chocolate, meringue drops and alfajore cookies. The focal point was a decadent two-tired cake topped with elegant turquoise sugar flowers. For the trendy urbanite hipster who cannot live without gourmet coffee après meal, a coffee trailer was brought to the venue for an eclectic twist.
